Accepted sources
We prioritize peer-reviewed research, regulators, and professional medical or dermatology organizations. Manufacturer information is used for its own formula, packaging or directions, not as the sole basis for broad efficacy claims.
Editorial references can explain general concepts, but material safety, compatibility and efficacy statements should use stronger sources where available. Every published Ingredient and Pairing lists at least one valid source.
Content and review workflow
Each Pairing states the practical verdict, schedule, main risks, stop signals, FAQs and evidence basis. Draft and reviewed records stay outside public directories until the publication gate passes.
Published content may be source-organized and editorially checked by the registered editorial organization. This is not licensed medical review. See the SkinMatchy Editorial Team page. A genuine named professional reviewer would be recorded separately with a verified role and credentials.
Corrections and reports
A broken source, identity error or material conclusion change returns the record to review. Related Pairing, Routine and Guide pages are checked again when the correction affects use.
Report a problem at hello@skinmatchy.com with the page, passage and a source that can be checked. See the Privacy Policy for requests involving personal data.
Update policy
High-traffic or fast-changing topics are prioritized. Other pages are reviewed when sources materially change, product practice shifts or a report identifies a problem, not merely to display a newer date.
The scientific record date and English localization dates are separate. A modified date does not imply that every external source was reread that day.
Commercial content and conflicts
Affiliate links, sponsorships and brand partnerships must not determine an editorial conclusion. Any future commercial link will be disclosed without changing rating standards, source requirements or presentation of unfavorable information.
A writer or reviewer with a direct commercial relationship to a relevant brand must disclose it, and a person without that conflict should check the core conclusion.
